The truth is out!

Mother always asked, "Can't you do anything right?"

Now we know the correct answer is, "No, mother; I can't even breath right."

Those ancient humans who focused on breathing knew some things at a very intuitive level, I think.

Absolutely. The body is kind of intuitive when you listen to it. What's really counterintuitive is that if it's not baked-into-a-pill-medicine we don't listen anymore.

I concur. Having done martial arts for... well, for a while now, I have a sense of where things are and what's going on in there that I think someone who hasn't deliberately focused does not. I can feel things going on in there that I believe most other folks miss.

I had the same finding with BJJ and boxing. It's crazy.

Yes! I totally agree that we are all breathing wrong.

Since listening to this podcast interview with James Nestor she has managed to change her breathing while running with impressive results.

I’ve not been so dedicated but this has prompted me to have another go.
