Thanks! And there are so many threads that need to be woven in to make this not just a screed of it’s own. Also agree with the news cycle. I mostly stay completely out of it and watch the chaos through proxy because it’s a bloody mess!
I'm pretty unplugged from much of popular culture, so I did not know what an NPC meant—it is doing some heavy lifting and whoever made this connection deserves some credit. Thank you for this awesome archetype to play with, one that is impossible not to see now.
It’s been around for a bit but agree, it’s spot on for a good portion of the population. It actually kind of saddens me to realize how thin some people’s identity is.
Haha. It’s kind of fun to weave together all the older stuff. Hopefully people fall down the rabbit hole. It also helps me be more consise with each topic because, there’s always another one to build the background.
I wager this essay would be a good read for every college freshman seminar class. The big reveal at the end of the debate would be that there's really nothing new: it's been 'critical thinking' all along! Asking why should always be OK, especially if someone is unable to provide an answer for why they believe something.
Enormous. I love how you are building on previous works. What an important essay - and so pertinent while navigating the current toxic news cycle.

I think this essay wins the award for the most amount of links to your other essays. Lol.

Absolutely. That's anninsight I keep tripping over and over is that we already have a lot of these answers, but we ignore them.
