Great post and good reminder to reconnect to that bigger picture out there. Made me think of a poem I go to often - when the human world seems too much.
The Peace of Wild Things
When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
my best live stream is watching the Shenandoah River rolling by at my door step. Of course, the fact that one day it may also roll all the way over my front yard and carry me downstream is never far from my mind. I told YouTube to remember all my history so it is nice when many of my favorite tunes keep popping up in my feed. I wrote a poem called, "If you could see my feed". The things I focus my attention on thus come back to sweeten my mood or haunt me for my own bad choices. We reap what we sow. Truth and a sense of humor or the absurd, thus, are two trusty shields, or weapons. Thank you for your thoughtful post.
Very necessary these days
Absolutely
Brilliant as always. It's a great reminder that what we see online or in the news isn't really real.
It’s so very true.

And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

That's a great poem and reminder.

That sounds amazing. There's something about living on water.
Rage is the new normal.
Common sense has fallen out of fashion.
You’re bringing back the everyday logic of our grandparents.
I had forgotten that there was such a thing as live stream in the physical world! Geesh.
Lol. No joke. I'm up in Yellowstone enjoying live streams this week so it was a timely release!
Beautifully simple message to combat the majority of life’s modern problems. Love it brother
Sometimes we just have to keep it simple. 🤓
Being polymathic should go beyond purely cognitive pursuits! Great Livestream btw :-)
Totally agree and thanks!
