Hi All!
Today is a special celebration for Polymathic Being.
We’ve been live for One Year!
Today I published my first Novel!
In that year we’ve explored over 52 topics from business and military leadership to biomechanics, AI, blockchain, psychology, sociology, religion, climate change, and most importantly, Systems Thinking.
In celebration, we’ll cover the release of my new Novel based on these essays.
I’ll review our subscriber growth this past year and a look at what’s to come.
We’ll share a special reward for subscribers.
The Novel:
One of the most fun aspects is that many of these topics have been woven into my newly released book Paradox: Book One of The Singularity Chronicles. It’s a fast-paced novel exploring the development of Advanced AI, the battle that ensues and delves into whether we’ll lose our humanity or find out what really makes us human.
What I think is awesome is that I was able to explore many of these topics with you and then weave them into something uniquely creative and entertaining that can be enjoyed by a broader audience.
The book is available on all major e-book readers and specifically on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. (Go to this link if you want other sources) If you want a signed Hardcover, please reach out to me at polymathicdisciplines@gmail.com and I can work that out.
Subscriber Growth
And what a fantastic year for growth it’s been! We’ve seen really healthy subscriber increases the entire year and I always take the mantra, Slow is Smooth and Smooth is Fast. Unlike a lot of other Substacks, Polymathic Being didn’t inherit a following and our growth is purely organic. We also have a nearly 50% open rate which is exceptionally high for newsletters. You also represent 44 US states and 60 Countries!

That said, please don’t forget to open the e-mails and hit that ❤️ button which helps others find these posts.
Next Year!
This next year I plan to continue my exploration across domains and disciplines to extract counterintuitive insights. What I’d love from you are recommendations. I admit I get tied up in my own headspace, so if there’s something you’d like me to poke into, give me a pointer at polymathicdisciplines@gmail.com.
Based on your feedback I am going to work to pare down the length and complexity of some of the topics. I think this first year was hard because there’s so much foundation to establish. As we move forward, expect to see more links to previous content and a faster-paced tempo of new information. I’m learning along with everyone else! (and unlearning (and relearning))
And that Reward?
As thanks, I want to offer my paid subscribers a free e-book version of Paradox. (more details after paywall below) If you aren’t a paid subscriber there are two other options for you:
First, here’s a 20% off annual subscription coupon you can use.
It comes out to $24 a year. That’s $2 a month or 50¢ an essay on average. Subscribing really helps me keep this open for everyone so that when you share these essays (which is awesome) there aren’t paywalls for anyone.
The second option is to refer subscribers to Polymathic Being. When you use the referral link below, or the “Share” button on any post, you'll get credit for any new subscribers. Simply send the link in a text, email, or share it on social media with friends.
This allows you to earn rewards. When more friends use your referral link to subscribe (free or paid), you’ll receive exclusive benefits.
Get a 1 Year comp for 5 referrals. (Access to special essays)
Get a 1 Year comp and Paradox for 15 referrals.
Get a 1 Year comp and Paradox AND a Polymathic Disciplines Hat for 30 referrals! (Or become a founding member!)
This is just the first year. I’m super excited about continuing our adventure, learning from everyone here, and continuing to provide counterintuitive insights from technology, innovation, philosophy, psychology, and more.
Thanks!
Michael
And for my paid subscribers, Check your e-mails for a link from Amazon. It will contain a unique link to claim your copy of Paradox. But act quickly as it helps drive my sales numbers in the first 24hr (even if you don’t read it right away) and will expire in 30 days.
Also, please take a moment and write a review on Amazon as that has an incredible benefit to boosting credibility on Amazon and therefore boosting visibility of the book.
Thanks for supporting me this past year. It means a ton and I appreciate you.
